Our Key Doctrinal Beliefs
The Bible is
God’s special revelation to the world in which He explains to us vital
aspects of His character, His will, His love for us, and the nature of
His eternal Kingdom. While we believe everything that the Bible says is
important and inspired, we have identified a handful of key doctrinal
beliefs as being critical to helping us develop a healthy relationship with
Him. These key doctrines are listed below:
-
The
Bible is the inspired and infallible word of God.
-
Jesus Christ,
fully God and pre-existent with the Father throughout eternity, was born of
a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified for the sins of the world,
rose again in bodily form on the third day and reigns at the right hand of
the Father in Heaven.
-
Faith
in Jesus Christ and His redeeming work is all that God requires for us to
receive the gift of eternal life.
-
Because
Jesus Christ died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins, those
who believe in Him now exist in a state of complete forgiveness, peace and
acceptance with the Father.
-
The
Holy Spirit is the active and participating presence of God in our lives
today, releasing various spiritual gifts and abilities into the life of
the Church and recreating in the lives of each believer the character of Christ.
-
The
Church of Jesus Christ throughout the world is one body with many unique
expressions; in light of this we are dedicated to cooperating with and
building up other members of His body wherever they may be.
Above
all, we believe that God’s
ability to succeed is always greater than our tendency to fail, and that
His great love for each of us is always able to transform our lives that
have been broken by failure and sin. In Jesus Christ, we can be not only
saved, but SAFE!
“See how great a love the Father has
bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God, and such we
are!” - 1 John 3:1
